We are a team studying biodiversity informatics, aiming to solve scientific problems in the field of biology through computer technology, network technology, big data technology, and artificial intelligence technology, and provide free data, software tools, and services to biologists. We collected mainstream and freely available plant name datasets from around the world and integrated them into a massive plant name dataset. Then, by using the Solr search engine, we indexed this massive and aggregated plant name dataset. Then, based on these plant name datasets, we conducted database design, system design, and system development, and ultimately developed an online Plant Name Service System. This online PNSS not only integrates mainstream global plant name datasets, but also integrates plant name retrieval, plant name matching, plant name search, plant name parsing and plant name API services, help biologists better conduct research on biodiversity conservation.
